Congress Extends the Mortgage Debt Relief Act, Gwinnett Short Sales will Benefit

If you're pursuing a short sale in Dacula or Gwinnett County, you should know Congress just extended the Mortgage Debt Relief Act.

This means the deficiency on your short sale could be safe from tax implications. If you've been worried about being on the hook for this after the deadline expired, worry no more! Congress extended the deadline through January 2014. So if you meet the criteria, your deficiency could be clear from federal taxes.
